YouTube Tags Climate Realism Videos with Disclaimer
The transformation of Internet infrastructure from an ostensibly neutral to a uniformly left-wing platform won’t stop with the silencing of Alex Jones. Already mainstream resistance to leftism is under attack. To the delight of BuzzFeed, even a video of a respected atmospheric physicist who fails to toe the line on anthropogenic global warming ideology gets tagged on YouTube with a disclaimer to discredit it:

On July 9, the company added a blurb of text underneath some videos about climate change, which provided a scientifically accurate explainer. The text comes from the Wikipedia entry for global warming and states that “multiple lines of scientific evidence show that the climate system is warming.”

The idea is to equate skepticism of anthropogenic global warming theory — a deliberately contrived hoax that serves as a vehicle for hard left objectives regarding taxation, regulation, and wealth redistribution — with conspiracy theories about fake moon landings, et cetera.

Michael Mann is infamous for his involvement in ClimateGate, his invention of the mendacious hockey stick graph, and his use of intimidation lawsuits to silence those who call him on his fraudulence. Unsurprisingly, he loves the idea:

Mann likened YouTube’s new messaging to the warning label on a pack of cigarettes: “Warning — this video may or may not be promoting actual facts about climate change.”

“Actual facts” are those fabricated by Mann so as to acquire lucrative government grants.

At least using Wikipedia as the gold standard of reliability and political neutrality provides us all with a good laugh.

Here’s an example of a video that got tagged. Watch it before YouTube bans it altogether:

FREELANCER FINDS THAT CNN’S LASER-FOCUS ON WIPING OUT ALEX JONES GOES BACK A WAYS
Is there some activist journalism going on over at CNN with the singular goal of purging Alex Jones and Infowars — and only Alex Jones and Infowars — from online existence?
Twitchy - AUGUST 10, 2018
Freelancer finds that CNN’s laser-focus on wiping out Alex Jones goes back a ways

As someone said in a tweet the other day, don’t make us defend Alex Jones. We don’t pay attention to Alex Jones, we rarely post about him (unless we’re ridiculing him for appearing shirtless on horseback or something), and we don’t consider him a conservative by any stretch.

But is it just us or is there some activist journalism going on over at CNN with the singular goal of purging Alex Jones and Infowars — and only Alex Jones and Infowars — from online existence? CNN first caught our eye with this:

Oliver Darcy

@oliverdarcy
Important to note that tech platforms did not enforce their own rules and take action against Alex Jones / InfoWars on their own accord.

It took media outlets to point out for weeks that InfoWars was skirting the rules on these tech platforms for them to enforce own standards.

As everyone on Twitter knows, there are plenty of people skirting the rules on these tech platforms — look at Dana Loesch’s mentions for one day if you want to see continual threats of violence.

But as Twitchy reported earlier today, it seemed that CNN was really pressuring Twitter — the sole tech holdout — to ban Jones by going through his timeline and pointing of instances of rule-breaking — and taking some glee in it. CNN was literally policing Twitter.

On Thursday evening, freelance journalist Nick Monroe took at closer look at CNN writer and producer Paul P. Murphy, who’s written a bunch of stories on Infowars for CNN. Sure, it’s easy to feel moral outrage at the Sandy Hook conspiracies Jones has been peddling, but is that what’s driving all this?

Yeah, see, this is where it gets weird. CNN was monitoring which companies’ ads were running on the Infowars’ YouTube Channel, getting in contact with them, and reporting on which ones had their ads removed. That the kind of stuff Sleeping Giants does.

Paul P. Murphy

CNN discovered ads on InfoWars' channels from companies and organizations such as @Nike, @Acer , @20thcenturyfox, @paramountnet, @LDSchurch, @moen , @Expedia, @AlibabaGroup, @homeaway , the @NRA, Honey, @Wix and @classpass . Even @Refugees.

Here’s the highlighted bit: “Many of the brands — including Nike, Moen, Expedia, Acer, ClassPass, Honey, Alibaba and OneFamily — have suspended ads on InfoWars’ channels after being contacted by CNN for comment.”

Sure, this isn’t unusual territory for the investigative reporter at your local news affiliate, but it seems odd for CNN to take such an activist role in de-platforming an online entity.

It’s like we said earlier: we’re not really comfortable having someone other than Twitter police content on Twitter (they do a bad enough job), and we really don’t want CNN stepping into the role. Is this something CNN is going to be doing for other objectionable sites? Or is Jones’ scalp all they want?

Who knows? But Alex Jones is a really easy target to start with if de-platforming online personalities is going to become a thing. If they’re taking requests, though, we know of some celebrity 9/11 truthers and anti-vaxxers who could go. See how easy it is to pick who you’d like to see vanish?

Channel reportedly receives strike for reporting on Infowars ban
Mikael Thalen AUGUST 10, 2018
Popular YouTuber Says Podcast Shut Down for Discussing Alex Jones

Popular YouTuber Ethan Klein says one of his channels was penalized Friday for discussing Alex Jones and the recent ban across social media of Infowars content.

Klein and his wife Hila, who run several prominent channels with millions of followers, reportedly had their podcast’s livestream shut down in the middle of discussing the issue.

A tweet by Klein states that not only was the stream interrupted, but that the channel received a strike in the process.

The issue comes amid a widespread ban of Infowars content by some of the world’s largest social media companies.

Without providing specific examples of policy violations, Infowars has been banned by companies such as Facebook, YouTube, Apple, Google Podcast, Spotify, TuneIn, Spreaker, iHeartRadio, Audioboom, Pinterest, MailChimp, Stitcher, Disqus, Sprout Social, LinkedIn and Flickr.

The incident has raised questions on both the power held by large tech companies and free speech in the digital age.

Mark Dice is the mirror image of Ocasio Cortez.

Ocasio Cortez = "Baaah, baaah, Socialism good, baaah, baaah."

Mark Dice = "Baaah, baaah, Trump good, baaah, baaah."

But it works. For the brainwashed faithful.

Because these sanctions were forced on him.

As evidenced by the conciliatory letter Trump got hand delivered to Putin by Rand Paul.

In the name of libertarian non interventionism, Rand Paul is turning into a 2nd Devin Nunes.

Facebook's Push For Users' Bank Records Triggers Fears Of A 'Chinese-Style Social Credit System' In U.S.

Our rulers want a world where they can not only turn you into an "unperson" by banning you from the internet but also deny you a bank account and a home if you don't hold the right political views.

Daniel Taylor at Old-Thinker News writes:
Mainstream media, in collusion with big tech, has created a system of public shaming and "de-personing."

In 2015, Paul Joseph Watson wrote about China's social credit score system, asking the question "Could such a system ever take off in America?"

The first step is already complete; Big tech has our personal data.

Facebook recently asked U.S. banks to share user financial data including transactions and account balances in an effort to boost user engagement with the app.

Matt Stoller, a fellow at the Open Markets Institute, stated after Facebook's announcement that it is a sign that big tech is moving toward a social credit system in the United States. Stoller said, "concentrated tech power is moving us towards a dystopian social credit scoring system."

Just as in communist China, the purpose of such a system is to control our behavior and crush those stepping out of line.

The unpersoning of Alex Jones and those on the alt-right before him is about laying the groundwork for unpersoning us all.

Allowing these Big Tech companies to amass so much power was a giant mistake (which was totally foreseeable a decade ago) which needs to be corrected -- fast.
