 On second thoughts, maybe a Haenel Mauser 8x57, or even a Fuchs and Szecsei. These double barrelled rifles are beautiful. Looking at the foresight reminds me of Mauser.

Some have magazines of maybe 5 rounds per barrel, so Express may refer to having quick firing mechanism, but being bolt action, I don't know. The calibre being .50 will pack quite a punch, wot! I've only used .303 LeeEnfield and .22 Winchester rifles, and pump action Browning shotguns, so I am no expert. Oh, I had a BSA air rifle and a Webley air pistol as a lad.

It would be good if you remembered you have this thread running, Alan. You could then tell us if we are close, or not. Then we could continue throwing answers at you. This is the closest one I can think of, to the one in your pic. The stock is a little different, I know.
