I remember the 93 all star game very well. John Kruk vs RJ. Johnson's first pitch sailed up and in on Kruk and the next few pitches, Kruk just backed outta the box while swinging weakly. That's a classic.

Roy Halladay throws a no-no.
The Phillies are 10 games away from their 2nd pennant in 3 years.

This team was built to be a Mash unit. It was a murderers row. But they aren't hitting to potential. However, their starting pitching can't be fucked with. Nobody is going to beat our Bermuda Triangle 4 times in 7 tries. Anything the offense does is gravy.

Yankees pitching came up big. Going to be hard to beat if they keep throwing like that. Texas has 2 really good lefties, Lee and Wilson. They can hit a little too. Going to be good.

You need to quit drinking the tap water up there. Did the beating you took last year make you black out certain bits of reality? Remember who is the defending champions?

Those fuckin' la raza types. CJ Wilson is a very solid 2. He's going to have his work cut out for him. Then Cliff Lee is going to do what Cliff Lee does, which is fuck up the Yankees. Lee and Wilson are an excellent 1-2 punch, both Lefties, could spell disaster for the Phillies. And right now they got their hands full with the Giants staff. Good thing that squad couldn't hit their way out of a wet paper bag.

My, my aren't we special you "Yankees fan" you. Both you fools talk like the Yankees are a non entity. The Yankees are THE defending champions. They held the best record in baseball for most of the season until they went on cruise control after they became a lock for the post season, they swept the Twins without even breaking a sweat and they have the best offence in the league. Living in denial might help you get by your day-to-day lives but reality is catching up fast.

No, I'm not talking like they're a non-entity. They're a very good baseball team. They also are not as good as last year AND we are all familiar with them. The Rangers dont get the same press, so I was simply discussing their starters. Also, I like to bad mouth the Yankees. Fuck them. How hard is it to root for a team that spends the most every year? Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that it doesn't take a lot of heart to root for goliath. I have more respect for those stinking Mets fans than "America's team". Anyways, the Yanks have a great offense, however, the Phillies have the best starting pitching: Oswalt 2.76 ERA, a league leading 1.025 WHIP, 211.2 IP, 193 K Hamels 3.06 ERA, 1.179 WHIP, 208.2 IP, 211 K Halladay 2.44 ERA, 1.041 WHIP, 250.2 IP, 219 K That shit will chew through your lineup, should you get passed Texas. Whoever you get from the NL is going to give you guys real headaches. Fortunately for you, SF cant hit for squat, but that probably means they lose to the better offensive team in the NLCS. The way I see it, the AL is more of a toss up than the NL right now. Phillies are heavy favorites. Not to say anything cant happen, but odds are odds.
