"I'm getting ready to take a 7.62 round for Uncle Sam! Better them, than that lot," says Mr. Pig! The tin foil hat crowd are out in full force upon hearing of the Army plan to use real live little piggies for,of all things, guinea pigs, in an experiment that will save human lives in future combat.
The use of pigs will help Army medics speedily repair gunshot wounds similar to what they'll be seeing in real combat situations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Activists say they would rather the piggies were let loose and real soldiers suffer the wounds instead! "How dare them use live pigs when there's plenty of live soldiers around doing nothing!"
The activists were in the news a while ago for accepting healthy stray animals from donors, and then secretly euthanizing them and disposing the bodies illegally in public dumpsters around Northern Virginia.
Though denied at first, it was later proven in court that over 80 animals were euthanized in the back of a van in one day, in a sanctioned program using staff and vehicles.
